Cecil Taylor holds the BA from Louisiana College, the ThM from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and the PhD in New Testament from Baylor University. For 26 years he pastored Baptist churches in Louisiana, Texas, Kansas and Missouri, then served 24 years as Dean of the School of Christian Studies at the University of Mobile, a Baptist college in Alabama. Taylor and his wife Reeda, a registered nurse, moved to Marshall after his retirement in 2013 to be nearer family. They have four children and ten grandchildren.
Austin Anderson is from Forney, TX. He grew up involved in ministry as he traveled with his family in vocational evangelism for 18 years before he began attending college. He is currently a student at East Texas Baptist University, majoring in Mass Communications and double-minoring in Music and Religion. After he graduates, Austin plans to study for his Master’s degree in Christian Studies, also at ETBU.
He is heavily involved in Music and Ministry by not only still traveling on occasion with his family, but also through being a member of several ETBU ensembles such as Concert Choir, the Mighty Tiger Band, new worship band “Jubilant Worship” and a worship band he and his friends started, “Devoted”.
Lila Deel is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University where she has a Master degree in Children’s Ministry and Religious Education. She has worked for over 20 years in Children’s Ministry at Central Baptist Church. Teaching children about the love of God is her passion. It is her desire that children develop a growing knowledge of our Lord and Savior.
She is married to David Deel. They have two sons and five grandchildren.
Rozanne joined our Staff in October, 2015.
Joy began her duties at Central in October, 2011. She grew up in Marshall, and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education from East State University. Joy has 30 years accounting experience and office management. She and her husband Ron are members of Central and have 4 children.
Kathy has served MISD at J.H. Moore Elementary for over 20 years. She began working at Central in May of 2014.
